Monday Essentials: Inn at Hastings Park License Considerations

Here's a quick look at what you need to know for the week ahead in Lexington.

1. Selectmen SnippetsThe Inn at Hastings Park is on the agenda for Lexington's Board of Selectmen at 7 p.m. tonight, Aug. 26. The board will take up a liquor and common victualler's license for the proposed New England-style inn at Mass Ave and Worthen Road. For the full agenda, click here.

2. Other Public Meetings: According to the town website, other public meetings posted for this week include

  •  Tuesday, Sept. 27: the Sustainable Lexington Committee at 7 p.m. at Cary Hall, the School Committee at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Office Building and the Conservation Commission at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Office Building 
  • Wednesday, Sept. 28: the Recreation Committee at 7 p.m. at the Town Office Building and the Planning Board at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Office Building
3. Lexington Youth Lacrosse 'Fall Ball' Registration Now Open: Lexington Youth Lacrosse will hold a series of instructional clinics and scrimmages for boys and girls in grades 1 through 8 on Sunday afternoons from Sept. 8 through Oct. 27. Head over to www.lexingtonlax.org for more information and online registration.

4. Last Week of Summer! Well, except for the teachers. Lexington Public School teachers head back this Thursday, Aug. 29. Students head back next week. 

5. Summer Concert SeriesArl-Lex 5 & Dime, the country/gospel/bluegrass band featuring state Sen. Mike Barrett, will perform at 6:30 p.m. this Friday, Aug. 30, at the Visitors Center as the Chamber of Commerce's Summer Concert Series concludes
