Monday Essentials: New Eatery is Coming to Lexington

1. Seasonably warm weather: The frigid temperatures of last week are now just a memory. This week should see highs reaching into the 50s. Monday is expected to have highs in the upper 40s. Rain should arrive on Tuesday, but so will the 50s. The rest of the week looks to see highs around 40 with plenty of sunshine.

2. In case you missed it: Artistry on the Green is opening soon at Lexington’s Inn at Hastings Park. Find out more here. 

3. Global warming film: The Lexington Global Warming Action Coalition will present “A Fierce Green Fire” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 in the Cary Memorial Library meeting room. The documentary is inspired by the book by the same name features major parts of environmentalism. Admission is free. 

4. Outdoor burning season starts on Wednesday: Open Burning Season starts on Wednesday and runs through May 1. There are several restrictions, including you must get a permit from Lexington Fire. Find out more about the restrictions here.
