Lexington Girl Stars in 'The Music Man' This Weekend

A local girl stars in this classic.

Eliza Morton from Lexington stars in Spotlight Playhouse's performance of "The Music Man" at Haverhill High School.

The classic musical by Meredith Willson, according to Wikipedia, "concerns a conman Harold Hill, who poses as a boys' band organizer and leader and sells band instruments and uniforms to the naive Iowa townsfolk, promising to train the members of the new band. But Harold is no musician and plans to skip town without giving any music lessons."

Morton plays the role of Gracie Shinn.

This weekend, there are shows on Friday, June 20, and Saturday, June 21, at 7 p.m. On Sunday, the curtain rises at 3 p.m.
