New England International Auto Show Roars Into Boston

Where else can you take a photo with a zombie-apocalypse-proof Hyundai?

By Chris Helms

If you like cars, this is your fantasy weekend.

The New England International Auto Show opens Thursday at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Gearheads will have a ton of reasons to visit, but even casual car fans might be tempted by attractions like taking a photo with the Walking Dead's Hyundai Survival Machine.

If you're not familiar with the term "zombie apocalypse," there's still plenty to do. Eight manufacturers will be offering test drives of their new models. There will be tons of aftermarket and accessory products to buy. And you can take a look at some of the most expensive cars in the world.

Hours are:

Thursday, noon to 9 p.m.
Friday, noon to 9 p.m.
Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Monday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Admission is $12 for adults, $6 for kids 6-12 and free for children under 6.
