I graduated this school 2 years ago. The current principal (there for 4 of my 6 years) completely ruined it. She took away any sport from recess where any kids argued... that's right... fouls in basketball, yellow/red cards in soccer, and just plain penalties. She avoided them. I got into trouble in class because I was filled with the energy that I was supposed to get out using side walk chalk or playing four-square. I decided to take matters into my own hands, by writing to Michelle Obama. That's how bad it got (and still is--as I have heard from friends with younger siblings still stuck at Bowman--the boys are banned from the swings) She installed a stop light that was sensitive to sound in the lunch room so that we couldn't talk all at once. She thought we wouldn't be able to hear the fire alarm over our talking, but yet, somehow, we could here the soft bleep when the light turned red (meaning we were "too loud") or one of the abusive lunch aides when they screamed at us to be quiet. So parents, if you are thinking of moving to Lexington, be sure to move to the Bridge of Harrington school area.
