Board of Assessors
Board of Assessors has three members appointed by the Town Manager for a term of three years. The board meetings are held twice or thrice every month, usually on Mondays and Tuesdays. The board is responsible for meeting the certification requirements of the Department of Revenue. It finalizes and prepares the tax bills, updates records of property transfers, inspects new construction, additions and alterations of sites, processes motor vehicle excise tax bills and administers special assessments and statutory exemptions.
