Local artists help raise money for Munroe Tavern and the Lexington Farmers' Market opens today.

Yes! The Farmer's Market opens today at 2 p.m. and closes at 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Massachusetts Avenu. and Woburn Street.  Wine, cheese, meat, fruits, veggies, wine - oh, I already said that. I'm predicting steamed fresh veggies and organic chicken for dinner. Maybe we'll have dessert, I'm not sure. We'll accompany all of it with ... yeah, wine from the market. See you there! Updated About Town: Relinquished Treasures Sale in Lexington

Lexington Historical Society's Executive Director Susan Bennett said this morning that any donations for the Relinquished Treasures Sale will be accepted between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday through Friday. The door is usually locked, so instead of knocking, which I did, look to the right for the door bell. It rings in Susan's office and she'll open the door. Call ahead if you have heavy items or for something that needs picking up. And, of course, the number is: 781-862-1703. Posted at 5:45 a.m. this morning ...
