Police Log: Drug Problems, Vehicular Vandalism and More

The following information was provided by the Lexington Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, April 4 3:33 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Marrett Road and Malt Lane, Gabriella N. Noveck, 19, of 26 Locust Ave., Lexington, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs, operating without a license, possession of a Class B substance (Ritalin) and possession of a Class C substance (Klonopin).  She was also civilly cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. 11:03 a.m. –Mark N Sullivan, 52, of 6 Ellison Road, was arrested on four outside warrants for uttering false name in Woburn, false name in Somerville, and receiving stolen property in Somerville and Malden. Highway Pursuit Leads to OUI Arrest

A Belmont man is facing OUI and drug charges following his March 25 arrest in Lexington.

State Police arrested a Belmont man for operating under the influence of drugs last night following a short pursuit on Route 128 in Lexington. The incident began around 8:25 p.m. on Monday, March 25, when troopers assigned to the Concord Barracks received several reports of a red BMW operating erratically on Rte. 128/95 in Burlington, according to a Massachusetts State Police press release. Several troopers responded to the area to search for the vehicle, which was reportedly continuously striking the guardrail as it traveled northbound. The vehicle exited the highway and looped back onto Rte. 128/95 south, where Trooper Zachary Bolcome located it in Lexington, according to MSP. Police: ‘Major Heroin Dealer’ Nabbed In Recent Arrest

The two Waltham men arrested last week in Lexington were targets of a local drug task force.

The arrest of two Waltham men last Friday in Lexington came after a local drug task force set its sights on the pair of alleged dealers, investigators said.  Eleazar Fernandez, 31, of Waltham, and Daniel E. White, 26, of 24 Eddy St., Waltham, were arrested last Friday, Feb. 15, after allegedly making a heroin deal while under police surveillance. The deal, and arrest, occurred in the Lahey Clinic’s parking area on Hayden avenue in Lexington. “They’ve been targets for some time now,” said Lt. Det. Police Log: HazMat Response, Theft Arrests and Roadside Vandalism

Friday, May 4 12:28 p.m. – A Locke Lane resident reported an alleged fraud that occurred outside Lexington. 3:51 p.m. – Police responded to a report of vandalism on Hibbert Street. 8:19 p.m. – Police responded to a reported attempted suicide-by-cyanide on Maguire Road. The man allegedly ingested cyanide and called 911, triggering a HazMat response to the Maguire Road parking lot.  He was found conscious and alert, and was transported to Lahey Clinic.   9:47 p.m. – A noise complaint came in regarding a loud party in the area of Franklin and Somerset Roads. 11:36 p.m. – A cruiser checked out a possible argument on Webb Street. Monday, Sept. 19 9:47 a.m. – Police responded to a report of spray-paint vandalism on Skyview Road. 10:44 a.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Worthen Road. 12:45 p.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic dispute on Bow Street. 1:48 p.m. – Two windows on a front-end loader were allegedly broken with a rock while parked at Lexingotn High School sometime between late afternoon on Sept. 18 to early morning Sept. 19. Week in Review, Aug 21 to 27

A girl's best friend, new teachers, a candidate emerges, arrests and some wild weather this week in Lexington.

Oh what a week this was in Lexington. The week began with video of a young Lexington girl meeting her new best friend, a 2-year-old Labrador retreiver she received from Canine Companions for Independence, a nation wide non-profit organization that trains and provides assistance dogs for persons with disabilities other than blindness.  But what followed that hear-warming piece took a turn for the worse, as police incidents revealed an OUI arrest and an investigation into an alleged drive-by involving a BB gun and some soda. An earthquake shook the East Coast Tuesday afternoon, but didn't have much of an impact on Lexington as dispatch received no quake-related calls. Monday, June 13 8:03 a.m. – A disabled motor vehicle was reported on Hartwell Avenue. 2:39 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident on Spring Street and Hayden Avenue. 4:22 p.m. – A bicycle was reported stolen on Lowell Street. 6:23 p.m. – A cruiser checked on a reported mother-son domestic dispute on Massachusetts Avenue. 6:51 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of annoying phone calls on Cedar Street. Friday, May 20 1:54 a.m. – A noise complaint came in from Massachusetts Avenue. 10:36 a.m. – An officer used a firearm to put down a skunk. 11:37 a.m. – A Jamaica Plains man was arrested on multiple charges after a minor motor vehicle accident on Mass Ave. and Marrett Road. Dushani A. Genas, 33, of 163 Heath St., Jamaica Plain, was arrested on a warrant out of Orange for operating without a license and was subsequently cited for operating without a license and failure to use care while turning. 6:53 p.m. – A California man was arrested on multiple charges after allegedly making an illegal turn into a hotel parking lot on Bedford Street and backing out into traffic after spotting a cruiser in the lot.
