"Fondue sets, martini shakers and juicing machines: three things the world could live completely without." ~Douglas Coupland My in-laws gave my husband and I a juicer over the holidays. This was after I saw it unopened on a shelf in their basement and asked a few times if they were ever going to use it. Subtlety may not be my strong suit but who cares? I got a juicer! Question of the Day

Question of the Day: Munroe Center?

Share your opinion in the comments section below.

For decades there has existed an informal understanding that the Munroe Center for the Arts would maintain the town-owned building and act as stimulants of the arts by providing space, classes and functions. But the future of this relationship is uncertain. Estimates of capital costs are significant and the Lexington Friends of the Arts, which renew a temporary lease with the town every few months, pay a relatively modest rent that's far less than what the town could collect at market value. The following is a press release from the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society. Thirty-five years ago, Marge and Joe Weerts joined the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society. Although Joe had a complete workshop at home, he worked daily at the guild, learning and helping others. Prior to joining the Woodworkers Guild, Joe had made furniture tables - nesting and single standing - sideboards, TV cabinets, storage chests and more, for their 18th century home on Massachusetts Avenue. Joe also made furniture for their children and friends. At the …
