Mmmm. Burgers. Burgers are so big right now they come in all shapes, sizes and styles, from the big and beefy to seafood sliders to the veggie variety. Readers' Choice: Nominate Lexington's Best Place to Find Fresh Produce

Nominate your go-to place in the comments; it may be voted a Readers' Choice as the best of Lexington later this summer

In this era of eat local awareness, when entire websites are devoted to kale-inspired bumper stickers, it seems like every shopper has a go-to spot (or spots) to find fresh produce. So, if it's near and dear to your heart, Patch wants to hear about it — tell us where to go in the Lexington area to find fresh produce. Nominate your favorite place in the comments below. Once you do, Patch will officially add it to the contest for best of the best, and it just might beat out the competition to become the number one Readers' Choice for best of Lexington later this summer. Best of Patch Readers' Choice Lexington 2012 Goes on Summer Vacation

We'll be back to "Best Of" in the fall.

Thanks for giving us 12 weeks of winners; now Best of Patch Readers' Choice 2012 is going on summer hiatus; last week was our last poll contest for a while.  We plan to be back in the fall with more contests that highlight our local businesses and places — so you can find the 'best of' Lexington.  Also in the fall we will be honoring the winners of our past three month's worth of Best of Patch Readers' Choice contests. In the meantime, don't hesitate to email me, or remark in the comments section below, about topics you'd like to see covered by our Best Of contests.

And Your Pick for the Best Way to Spend Memorial Day Is...

The votes, comments and reviews have been tallied and Lexington Patch readers have picked their favorite way to spend Memorial Day.

According to the 13 voters who weighed in this week on our Best of Patch Readers' Choice poll, a ride on the Minuteman Bikeway is the best way to spend Memorial Day around Lexington. The bikeway received six votes, followed by the second choice, a cookout with friends and family, which received four votes, and the town's Memorial Day Oservances, which got three votes. Best of Patch Readers' Choice 2012 is going on summer hiatus; this will be the last poll contest for a while. This week's Best of Patch Readers' Choice poll is looking for the best place to spend Memorial Day.

Memorial Day's only a week away, which means it's about time to start thinking about how you and yours will spend the day. And so, with this week's Best of Patch Readers' Choice Poll, we'll be looking for your recommendations on the best place to make new memories or honor old ones on this Memorial Day. Your Pick for the Best Place to Grab Memorial Day Grillables Is…

The votes, comments and reviews have been tallied and Lexington Patch readers have picked their favorite place to find the fixins for your Memorial Day cookout.

And it was the Meat House by a hair. Only six votes were cast in this week’s Best of Patch Readers’ Choice poll, so two votes was all it took for the Meat House in Arlington to be your pick for the best place around Lexington to grab grillables and groceries for a Memorial Day cookout. Also receiving votes were Stop & Shop, Wilson Farm, Wagon Wheel Nursery and the Market Basket in Burlington.  As always, you can review these local businesses yourself on our Patch Places page. And Your Pick for the Top Staycation Spot in Lexington Is ...

The votes, comments and reviews have been tallied and Lexington Patch readers have picked their favorite place to staycation around Lexington.

Congratulations to Cary Memorial Library, your pick for Lexington's best staycation destination. The library, located on Mass Ave in Lexington Center, edged out the town's historic houses in this week's Best of Patch Readers' Choice poll, tallying nine of the 27 votes cast. The historic houses -- including the Buckman Tavern, Hancock-Clarke Parsonage and Munroe Tavern -- earned second place with six votes. Other places receiving votes included Minute Man National Historical Park (3), Walden Pond (3), the Liberty Ride (2), National Heritage Museum (1), the Alcott Orchard House (1) and the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln (2).
