Betty's Bounce Kicks Off Munroe Saturday Nights This Weekend
The performing arts series begins its third season on Saturday, Sep. 8, featuring a performance by the Lexington-based Betty’s Bounce.

Betty’s Bounce, a local jazz trio performing the evocative, toe-tapping music known as ‘Gypsy Jazz,’ will kick off the third season of the Munroe Saturday Nights performing arts series in Lexington on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 7:30 p.m. Based in Lexington, Betty’s Bounce performs music in the style of Django Reinhardt, which originated in France in the 1930s. Reinhardt teamed with violinist Stéphane Grappelli to co-found the “Quintette du Hot Club de France,” whose music from the 1930’s and 40’s epitomized the genre.
