PHOTOS: LPD Honor Guard Featured at Recent Boston Celtics Game

Members of the Lexington Police Department's Honor Guard did their thing before the Green took the Boston Garden floor on Friday, Jan. 27.

The Lexington Police Department's Honor Guard presented the colors before the Celtics game at the Garden on Friday, Jan. 27.  They may have brought some luck to the Green, as the struggling Celtics topped the Indiana Pacers, 94-87, just one night after rallying to erase a 20-plus point deficit to overcome the Magic in Orlando.  The above photos were provided by Lt. We won't be going with the whole "It's Thursday and you've got no idea what' you'll do this weekend" thing today. This Saturday and Sunday, after all, are Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So, instead here a things you may be interested in incorporating into this holiday weekend. 1. Annual Christmas Eve Caroling Where/When: Hastings Park Bandstand, at the corner of Mass Ave and Worthen Road; 4 to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 24 Why Go: According to the town website, Christmas Eve Caroling is "a town tradition that is enjoyed by several hundred residents and neighbors each year who gather to sing an assortment of traditional and favorite carols." For the final song, children will be invited up onto the bandstand with the musicians to ring bells…

1. The Board of Selectmen are back to meeting at their regular time of 7 p.m., after a few weeks of meeting earlier due to Town Meeting and a week's reprieve provided by the Patriots' Day holiday. A few interesting items on the agenda include a pilot program for LexPress involving seniors and consideration of allowing wine to be sold at the farmers' market, in accordance with a new state statute. 2.
