National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards were announced recently.
At least four students who live or learn in Lexington have won prizes in the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Lexington native Phoebe Britton, a senior at the Landmark School, was recently named a Gold Award winner for her “Self Portrait,” a charcoal illustration. In a press release, Landmark Headmaster Bob Broudo called Britton’s work “outstanding” and said it was excited to see the work recognized on a national level after earning a Gold Key in the Massachusetts Scholastic Art and Writing Awards last month.
