Lexington Native Slain in Seal Beach Massacre
Mass killing in California touches Lexington family.
David Caouette, 64, grew up on Balfour, right off Cedar Street. He and his siblings went through the Lexington School system and Caouette graduated from Lexington High School in 1966. During those years, he played football, belonged to the school's Varsity Club and was part of the Leader Corps. He married his high-school sweetheart, Paula, and they eventually had three children and moved to California. On Wedesday, Oct. 12, Caouette was sitting inside his Land Rover in a parking lot in Seal’s Beach, Orange County, California when a gunman exited the Salon Meritage.
