Lexington Teen’s Drawing Earns Scholastic Art Award

Dennis Guo, Roxbury Latin junior and Lexington resident, was recently received an Honorable Mention Award in the Drawing category for his “The Tourist.”

There were more than 13,000 pieces of artwork across 13 categories for the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards, and one Lexington teen rose to the top. Dennis Guo, a Lexington resident and junior at Roxbury Latin, received an Honorable Mention Award in the “drawing” category for his piece, “The Tourist,” according to a press release provided by his school. His work is pictured above.

PHOTO: Lexington Resident Scores 'Silver Key' Award for his 'Still Life'

Dennis Guo, a Lexington resident and sophomore at the Roxbury Latin School, earned the Silver Key in the recent Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards.

The following information was provided by The Roxbury Latin School. Lexington resident and Roxbury Latin sophomore Dennis Guo won the Silver Key at the recent Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards for his “Still Life.” The Roxbury Latin School, located in West Roxbury, is the oldest school in continuous existence in North America. This year the School will graduate its 367th class.
