LHS Teacher Receives Diversity Award (VIDEO)

Lexington High Social Studies teacher Lindsay Banks was recognized for teaching and leadership that instills diversity and inclusiveness.

Lindsay Banks, a social studies teacher at Lexington High School, on Monday received the Sharon Wong-Chan/Sarah Harrington Diversity Award. Given annually by the Lexington Diversity Task Force, the award honors the memory of the two residents and celebrates a Lexington Public Schools staff member whose teaching and leadership models their values of diversity and inclusiveness. Upon receipt of the award, Banks received a standing ovation of a minute or longer. You can see approximately half of it by clicking on the video posted to your right.
