Lexington Girls' Hockey Team Skates to a Tie Against Watertown/Melrose
The Minutemen overcame a two-goal deficit to maintain their undefeated record.
A back and forth contest between the Lexington and Watertown/Melrose girls' hockey teams ended in a 5-5 tie Wednesday night. The Minutemen found themselves staring at a two-goal deficit entering the third period after allowing four goals in the second, including a short-hander. Lexington coach Amanda Ciarletta said she liked the way her team fought back in the final period. "(In the locker room) I said we have only one period to play, let's play like it's our last, and make every shift count," Ciarletta said. "They seemed to really grasp that.
