Five Things: Light in the Darkness Candlelight Vigial for Domestic Violence Victims

DVSN's Light in the Darkness Candlelight Vigil: To honor those who lost their lives to domestic violence in Massachusetts during the past year, the Domestic Violence Services Network is hosting an event at 7:15 p.m. tonight at  Temple Isaiah. The keynote address, "The Jewish Response to Domestic Abuse" will be presented by Rabbi Howard Jaffe. And, following that, Lexington Police Det. Brian Savage will present, "A Coordinated Community Response to Domestic Violence: DVSN and Its Police Partners." There will be music throughout the evening. 2. The Patriots' Day festivites in Lexington began with the early morning reenactment and finished strong with a parade that beat the heat to march down Mass Ave. But between the two, there was a whole host of other activities, including pancake breakfasts, a youth parade, ceremonies, programs and patriotic concerts.
