PHOTO: Minuteman HS Dedicates Homecoming to Team Molly

Mustangs players wore teal athletic gear to represent the official color of ovarian cancer awareness and held a raffle with proceeds going to ovarian cancer causes in the name of Molly Eisenberg, a former LHS student-athlete who died of ovarian cancer.

The following is a press release from Minuteman High School. On Oct. 8, a beautiful Saturday in Lexington, Minuteman High School had Homecoming Day with many enjoyable activities such as cross country, boys’ and girls’ soccer games and a football game.  John Donato, athletic director for the Minuteman Mustangs, wanted it to be a special occasion, so he decided to have Homecoming Day dedicated to Team Molly, which was created in memory of Molly Eisenberg, a remarkable student athlete from Lexington. Molly, who attended Lexington High School, lost her battle with ovarian cancer at 19 in 2009.  “Our school is a proud member of Team Molly and I felt it was a nice time to celebrate her memory and promote ovarian cancer awareness,” said Donato. …
