Retiring state Sen. Susan Fargo has endorsed Concord Democrat Joe Kearns Goodwin in the race to replace her as the Third Middlesex District's state senator.
With one week before the Sept. 6 primary, retiring state Sen. Susan Fargo has weighed in on the Democrat she’d like to see fill the seat she has held for the past 16 years. State Rep. Thomas Stanley, and several other local officials, have endorsed Concord Democrat Joe Kearns Goodwin for the 3rd Middlesex State Senate seat. Stanley and Goodwin made the announcement on Aug. 22 during a press conference outside of the William F. Stanley Senior Center on Main Street in Waltham. Around 100 supporters stood in front of Joe Kearns Goodwin as he took the microphone following the endorsement of State Rep. Cory Atkins, D-Concord, to deliver remarks at the Saturday afternoon event.
