PHOTOS: Team 'Go Get a Rock' wins LEF Trivia Bee
Nail-biting finish to 17th Trivia Bee.
Tom Diaz, Theo Griffin and John Santos -- members of team 'Go Get a Rock' -- won the 2012 Lexington Education Foundation Trivia Bee last night at Cary Hall. One team member, John Santos, is making a habit of winning the popular annual competition - it is the third consecutive year he has been on a winning team! Seven 'swarms' competed for the title by answering such challenging questions as "What is the name of the thing that casts the shadow on a sundial?" and "Who was Prime Minister of England before Margaret Thatcher." There were many Lexington-themed questions, but perhaps the most interesting one was the question asked by Dr Ash in his introduction: To name the two statues standing in the foyer of Cary Hall.
