Hear Superman's Story, As Told by Lexington Resident Larry Tye

The Lexington author will be at Cary Memorial Library this Thursday, June 14, to discuss his new book 'Superman: The High Flying History of America's Most Enduring Hero.'

The following was provided by Cary Memorial Library. On Thursday evening, June 14, at 7 p.m, Cary Memorial Library will host the next presentation in its ongoing series of evenings with Lexington authors. Special guest for this event will be award-winning local author Larry Tye, who will discuss his new book, Superman: The High Flying History of America's Most Enduring Hero. Superman was first imagined in 1933 by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, two young teenagers living in Cleveland, Ohio. Devoted to "truth, justice, and the American Way," Superman soon became a beacon of hope during the dark days of the Depression.
