PHOTOS: Autumn Fine Arts and Crafts Fair Compliments Lexington's 300th

The Lexington Chamber of Commerce's 19th annual Autumn Fine Arts and Crafts Festival was held Saturday, Sept. 22 on the Visitors Center Lawn.

A fine arts and crafts festival featuring everything from stained-glass windows to funky furniture,this annual event held on the Visitors Center lawn was a fine compliment to the opening day festivities of Lexington's 300th anniversary celebration. Lexington's Chamber of Commerce is holding its sixth Friday night concert on the lawn in front of the Visitors' Center at 6:30 p.m.until dusk, which is about 8 or 8:30 p.m. Steve Hurl's Jumpin Juba will play all sorts of American music, some inspired by boogie woogie, swamp rock and Calypso. Summer Concert Season, Lexington Style

Outdoor performances at Hastings Park and the Visitor Center lawn entertain throughout the summer.

For some, the summer concert season involves trips to outdoor venues to see classic rock or country music acts down at the Comcast Center or maybe something a little more modern at Boston's Bank of America Pavilion. But here in Lexington, there are weekly options for outdoor musical performances, so folks need look no further than the Center for summertime entertainment. And this week, the local summer concert season is in full swing. At 7:30 p.m. tonight, the Metropolitan Wind Symphony will take to the Levi Burnell Bandstand at Hastings Park for its second "Concert in the Park" of the season.  The MWS's first show was July 7, and additional performances are scheduled for July 21 and July 28.
