Police Nab Suspect Tied to Spike in Home Breaks

Timing, cooperation lead to arrest of a Watertown man in connection with a pair of recent B-and-Es in Lexington, who is allegedly tied to more residential burglaries in surrounding towns.

  The same day detectives from across the region met in Arlington to discuss the recent rash of residential burglaries across the region, an arrest was made in Belmont that police say could be a major break in the case. Azad Terzian, 28, of 34 Flint Road in Watertown, was arrested Monday, April 1 in connection with an attempted breaking-and-entering on Blossomcrest Road in Lexington and was subsequently tied to a residential burglary that occurred on Grassland Street, also in Lexington. What led police to Terzian was that a witness in Lexington was able to identify his gray Audi as being involved in the Blossomcrest Road attempted break. Monday, March 25 8:22 a.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Route 2 and Waltham Street. 6:26 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Bedford Street and Worthen Road. 9:04 p.m. – A runaway was reported on Pelham Road. Tuesday, March 26 10:21 a.m. –A Judges Road resident reported her ex-husband had been using her vehicle for two days and had not returned it. Police told the woman this was not a case of unauthorized use since the man is registered owner of the vehicle he was using. 10:32 a.m. – A Wood Street resident reported receiving threatening emails from a co-worker. Police Identify Drug Suspect Who Escaped Into Lexington

Waltham Police continue searching for the suspect, a 30-year-old Lowell man, who fled police after the Middlesex County Suburban Drug Task Force observed a drug transaction on Tuesday, March 26.

Waltham Police have identified the drug suspect who escaped police pursuit on Tuesday, March 26.  Police are searching for Jeffrey Hernandez, 30, of Lowell, according to Sgt. Tim King.  The Middlesex County Suburban Drug Task Force had Hernandez under surveillinance on Tuesday when they witnessed him conduct a drug transaction, according to King. Police attempted to stop Hernandez's car, but he fled into Lexington. Hernandez later abandoned his car in the Simonds Road area, according to Lexington Police Chief Mark Corr.  Lexington Police and Massachusetts State Police -- with assistance from area departments, the MSP Air Wing and K9 units -- searched the area of Pine Meadows Golf Course in Lexington for several hours but were unable to …

UPDATE: Police Searching for Alleged Drug Suspect in Lexington

Scanner, social media and residents reporting there is an active search in Lexington along Route 128 and near Pine Meadows Golf Course.

According to scanner and social reports, some confirmed by Lexington Police, there is an active search for a suspect who fled from police after an alleged drug transaction that occurred in Waltham Tuesday afternoon.  Social media says the suspect fled Waltham and headed north before ditching his vehicle, possibly around Bedford Street in Lexington. Thus began the foot pursuit that was ongoing into the evening. According to social media and reports from residents who live in the area, there was a heavy police presence around Reed Street and the Pine Meadows Golf Course around 4:30 p.m. State Police and members of the Lexington Police Department were reportedly involved in the search of that area. Arrest Made in Lexington Bank Robbery

An Acton man is facing federal charges after his arrest earlier this week in connection with a March 4 bank robbery in Lexington Center.

An arrest has been made in connection with the March 4 robbery of the TD Bank in Lexington Center, police said. Charles S. Knights, 41, of 14B Straweberry Hill Road, Acton, was arrested at that address on Monday, March 11, and is expected to be prosecuted federally, according to Lt. Det. Michael McLean of the Lexington Police Department. The arrest came a week to the day from the crime, in which Knights allegedly walked into the TD Bank on Mass Ave in Lexington Center, passed a note to a bank teller and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
