A 1997 Lexington High graduate, McDuffee was killed while breaking up a fight in 2002, just two months shy of his graduation from Bates College, where he captained the lacrosse team.
This Sunday, March 3, the lacrosse teams from Bates and Skidmore colleges will play non-conference game dedicated to the life and memory of Morgan McDuffee, a student-athlete who graduated from Lexington High School and attended Bates College. It's the second-ever meeting between the two teams, who played each other for the first time last year to mark the 10th anniversary of McDuffee's death. On March 3, 2012, Bates College and Skidmore College will play a lacrosse game dedicated to the life and memory of Morgan McDuffee, a 1997 graduate of Lexington High School where he was a standout athlete, captaining both the football and lacrosse teams. I worked with David's mom Barbara at Lexington High (Barbara has since re married and moved to the Ocala, FL area) and beause he would stop by often I knew him well. Morgan I also go to know and I enjoyed that wonderful young man so much----he was on of those very special people who even as a teenager seemed destined for success.
