How to Photograph Fireworks This 4th of July

A Patch photographer gives advice on capturing the sparkle in the sky.

Capturing fireworks on camera is a challenge that can be mastered easily with the right equipment and settings on your camera.  Here is a short tutorial to help you capture the rockets' red glare this Fourth of July.   Equipment needed: Lexington's fireworks will be Thursday, July 5 at the annual Lions Club's Carnival, and there are several other fireworks displays around Boston over the next few days. LACS Woodworkers Guild Presents: Branching Out

A juried art show hosted in cooperation with the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society's Photography Guild.

The following press release was provided by the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society. Each year we, the woodworkers guild at the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society, host an annual show where we display our best handiwork of the year. This year we have branched out of the walls of the society and have extended an invitation to all local woodworkers to display their goods. Woodworking is a talent that is very difficult to make a successful career at. We invited local woodworkers as a way to support our local artisans. We have also partnered up with the newest LACS guild, the photography guild, to beautify the walls of the gallery during the show.  This show is sure to have you wondering how these artisans have the skill and patience to fabricate…
