It's a Dog-Bite-Donkey World Out There An Estabrook Road resident reported encountering a woman on her Concord property who was walking her dog off-leash. The caller said the other woman's dog ran up to her donkey and "play bit" its rear end, not causing any injury. The Music Was Not Loud Enough... A Burlington man was arrested on May 5 after he allegedly drove under the influence of alcohol and fell asleep behind the wheel of his car in Newton Corner. According to Newton Police reports, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Washington Street and Centre Street for reports of a male party asleep behind the wheel of a red Mercedes. When officers arrived, they found the car stopped at the traffic signal, just before the on-ramp to the Mass Pike. Reports said the driver was asleep behind the wheel with the doors locked and loud music playing. The vehicle was running and in neutral. I'm surprised there aren't more accidents at the intersection of Bedford St and Worthen Rd. Cars traveling northbound on Bedford St often run the red light, I guess because it comes just after the flashing yellow fire station signal, and for whatever reason they just don't see that the intersection signal is red.
