Police reportedly found a stun gun by the nightstand in alleged prostitute’s hotel room.
As alleged prostitutes go, this one was a real stunner. That assessment has nothing to do with the way she looked, and everything to do with what police found when they looked at her nightstand: a stun gun. Shortly after 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, Lexington Police carried out a prostitution sting at a hotel on Bedford Street. Previously, investigators had found an online advertisement saying an alleged prostitute was staying—and working—there, a police spokesman said. An arrangement was set up and, as a result of the sting, Caitlynn Leigh Spaulding, 23, of 368 Essex St., Saugus, was arrested and charged with prostitution, possession of a stun gun and a warrant out of Gloucester for receiving stolen property. According to the incident …

Yes, a headline like, “Police Log: A Prostitution Arrest and a House Party Out of Hand,” piques the interest in these parts. But I’m wondering which part: Was it the prostitution? The house party? Something else? Please let me know. No, really. This is my concern. As your friendly neighborhood Patch editor, what I hope to do is provide the information that matters to you. And so, when you’re interested in something, I want to know what that something is, and how I can give you more of it. So, regarding this latest edition of the police log ... Aug. 2 sting resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old woman allegedly working out of the Quality Inn just off Rt. 128/95.
Acting on tips from hotel staff and information culled from seedy Internet ads, Lexington Police Thursday night arrested a 23-year-old woman on charges of selling sex inside a room of a Bedford Street hotel. Police had received a tip earlier in the week from staff at the Quality Inn on Bedford Street, and followed up on that by reviewing websites where prostitutes passing through the area are known to advertise their services. Investigators executed a sting operation at 9:55 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 2, and arrested Kaylynn M. Dyer, 23, of 15 Bussey St., Dedham, on prostitution charges. Police in Lexington have made a handful of prostitution arrests since last summer, most of them involving an alleged prostitute passing through the area and …

As alleged prostitutes have taken to the Internet to advertise their services, police say it’s become easier to use that same technology to track them down.
The arrest last Friday of three women allegedly selling sexual favors on top of traditional massage therapies was the fourth time in since last June the Lexington Police Department has arrested a person or persons on prostitution related charges. While the arrests made last June and July, and in January of this year, were of alleged prostitutes staying for a while in rented apartments or hotel rooms, last week’s charges were brought against women working out of businesses here in town. Prostitution arrests are not particularly common in Lexington, and the four incidences, which resulted in the arrest of seven individuals, are not necessarily an indicator of increased vice activity, according to police. Rather, police said, as alleged …

Panera plans confirmed, a prostitute pinched, a post office preserved and more this week in Lexington.
The Lexington Arts and Crafts Society's seventh annual artisans market and summer sale opened last weekend, and we brought you a photo gallery Monday morning. But then the news quickly changed gears as a serious car accident at Lowell and East streets hospitalized three and backed up traffic early Monday afternoon. That night, a sting operation by Lexington Police busted a two-person prostitution operation that was allegedly working out of the Quality Inn on Bedford Street. Tuesday morning's About Town column remembered Grace “Gracie” Watson, a long-time volunteer at the Visitors Center and ambassador for the town. Watson died July 21, a week after celebrating her 85th birthday. Also on Tuesday, the United States Postal Service announced …

An alleged prostitute was arrested June 8 in Lexington after reportedly propositioning a detective.
Lexington Police arrested an alleged prostitute Thursday after an investigation led police to a Lexington Ridge Drive apartment where a Boston woman was reportedly offering massage treatments. Chew Chew Siew, 38, of 235 East Broadway St., Boston, was arrested Thursday, June 9, for prostitution, according to an incident report. According to Lt. Jim Barry, a spokesman for the department, a detective spotted an online ad offering a massage in Lexington. Police then made arrangements to send an officer to the address on an undercover sting. Thursday afternoon, a detective went to the apartment for a massage and was reportedly propositioned by Siew, the alleged prostitute. According to Barry, ownership of the apartment was in question as of …
