Vine Brook Tavern Hosting Grand Opening Party Tonight

The new Waltham Street eatery, which offers a menu of upscale American tavern cuisine, opened softly earlier this month and is doing it with more fanfare tonight, Nov. 28.

The Lexington Center restaurant scene is eclectic to say the least, with a quintessentially American eatery as the latest addition to round out the roster. Vine Brook Tavern opened softly a little earlier this month, but has its “grand opening” party scheduled to pop off at 7 p.m. tonight, Nov. 28. According to Marcus Palmer, the establishment’s owner/operator, tonight’s the night Vine Brook Tavern announces itself to local media and the who’s who of Lexington. “We have invited Town Hall reps, investors, local Lexington VIPs, restaurant people [and] press to attend the party here on Wednesday,” Palmer wrote in an email to Patch. The opening events will be replete with featured cocktails and passed apps and the like. About Vine Brook Tavern…

Vine Brook Tavern Looks to Open Early Next Week

After a Sandy-related setback, the upscale American eatery should arrive in Lexington Center on or around Nov. 13.

If all went according to plan, Lexington’s newest eatery would have enjoyed a soft open on Election Day, and then something with a little more fanfare early next week. But, as has been the case with so many things over the last few weeks in the northeast, Sandy had a say in the opening of Vine Brook Tavern. Marcus Palmer, the restaurant’s owner/operator, confirmed Tuesday that the opening was delayed until early next week, due to complications stemming from the superstorm that slammed the northeast last week. A countdown on the eatery’s website puts the opening at 5 p.m. next Tuesday, Nov. 13. When Vine Brook Tavern does open, patrons can expect a thoughtful menu, hospitable service and a welcoming environment fit for an evening out or …

Get Fired Up: Qdoba's Coming to Lexington

The Mexican kitchen chain is planning a June 11 opening for its Bedford Street location.

Qdoba is coming to Lexington and the Mexican kitchen could be firing up its grills as early as next week. According to Toni Tiernan, regional marketing manager, if all goes according to plan, next Monday, June 11, is slated as opening day for Qdoba’s location at 46 Bedford Street, the chain’s 19th in the Greater Boston area. “Lexington specifically kind of called out to us because of the kind of community that it is,” Tiernan told Patch late last week. “This is really going to be our first in the northwest suburban area.” With its high ceilings and windows, the 40-seat dine-in and takeout spot will be “definitely one of the most attractive locations,” Tiernan said. According to company literature, Qdoba offers fresh, handcrafted meals …
