Five Things: LFM's FEASTival and a Local Author Book Launch Party

1. Lexington Farmers Market's Thanksgiving FEASTival: From 12 to 4 p.m. today at Seasons Four, there will be a special, season-ending farmers market hosted by the Lexington Farmers Market. 2. 'Lunatic Heroes' Launch Party: At 7 p.m. tonight at Cary Hall, there will be a special launch party for the release of local psychotherapist and writer C. Anthony Martignetti's book, "Lunatic Heroes: Memories, Lies and Reflections." The event will feature readings and/or performances by Martignetti, Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman. Tickets are $10 and all proceeds go to cancer care and research. 3. With Thanksgiving FEASTival, LFM Hosts Last-Minute Shopping Event

In three years, the Lexington Farmers Market annual FEASTival is fast becoming a local holiday tradition.

Hurricane Sandy might have washed out the Lexington Farmers Market’s last regularly scheduled market day of the year, but that wicked superstorm can’t touch this Tuesday’s Thanksgiving FEASTival. In just three years, the LFM’s FEASTival, held the Tuesday before Thanksgiving at Seasons Four in East Lexington, has already become a bit of an annual holiday tradition. This year’s will be held from 12 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 20. “It gives shoppers a chance to see some of their favorite farmers and vendors one last time, shop for local, fresh products and stock up on special items before winter,” said Leslie Wilcott Henrie for the LFM. “In addition to turkey, wine, vegetables, baked goods and treats for the Thanksgiving table, many shoppers pick up …

If it looks like Christmas but sells like Thanksgiving, it must be the Lexington Farmers Market's second annual FEASTival at Seasons Four.

The second annual Thanksgiving FEASTival, held at Seasons Four from noon to 4 p.m. yesterday was a success, and a great way to get the holiday turkey, a few veggies and herbs to complete the holiday meal. The kiosks, tables and tents were parked in and outside Seasons Four, which allowed visitors to think beyond tomorrow's turkey and into next month's festivities. Mid-afternoon, dozens of high school singers to visitors as they attempt to raise money for a trip to Europe in April 2012. There were other events and a lot to keep everyone busy and buying. Thanksgiving FEASTival a Place for Holiday Shopping and Socializing

The holiday season is here and entertaining aint easy. So Patch is looking around Lexington for tips to help make your holidays a little easier, more exciting and extra tasty. Tuesday's Thanksgiving FEASTival offers one-stop shopping.

With Thanksgiving dinner less than a week away, hosts and guests alike are at least beginning to shop around for ingredients, gifts, desserts and main dishes. On Tuesday, the Lexington Famers Market will give locals a chance to do all of the above. The regular market season ended about a month ago, but the LFM bounces back on Tuesday with its second annual Thanksgiving FEASTival, a four-hour market to be held from 12 to 4 p.m. at Seasons Four on Mass Ave.  More than 20 vendors are participating and their wares will include everything from kale to chocolate.
