1. Time's Running Out to Register to Vote in Sept. 6 State Primaries: This Friday, Aug. 17, is the deadline to register to vote in the Sept. 6 state primary. Here in Lexington, voter registration forms are available at the Town Clerk's Office, Cary Memorial Library and online. 2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, the only public meeting posted for today is the Economic Development Advisory Committee at 8:30 a.m. at Cary Hall. Its agenda includes a Hartwell Avenue Association update and developing a vision for Hartwell Ave. 3. Aly Raisman's In Town! Toastmasters, goal-setting, Dinner in the Field and more today in Lexington.

1. Dinner in the Field: Dining doesn't get much more local than a dinner eaten in a farm's field. Wilson Farm is holding its first "Dinner in the Field" of the season at 6:30 p.m. tonight. It's also the first for new executive chef Jeff Peters. It's $125 (tax deductible) per person, and seating is limited, so be sure to call Wilson Farm at 781-862-3900 to see if there's space available. 2. Goal Setting for the Board of Selectmen: The Board of Selectmen are scheduled to meet at 8:30 a.m. this morning for a goal setting session at the DPW Building. 3. New Selections of Summer Classes and Workshops: The Lexington Arts and Crafts Society has announced a new lineup of summer offerings for artistic children, teens and adults, including collage, Chinese calligraphy, mixed media, printmaking, weaving, woodworking, drawing, painting, metalsmithing and more. 2. Concerto Concert: This evening’s program, which begins at 7:30 p.m. at Lexington High School, features the Chamber Orchestra performing the Viola Concerto, movement 1-Allegro by Sir William Walton; Senior violist Carolyn Chang, one of this year’s Concerto Competition winners will be the featured soloist. The Orchestra will also play Variations on Themes from Verdi's Rigoletto by Luigi Bassi with Junior Thomas Jeon '13, also a winner of the Concerto Competition, featured as the clarinet soloist.
