Pucker up, lovebirds, and head to Qdoba on Valentine's Day for a free entree.
Customers at the Qdoba Mexican Grill on Bedford Street in Lexington can get free food on Thursday, if they don't mind a little PDA. The nationwide restaurant chain is now in its third year of a special Valentine's Day promotion: "Buy one entree, share a smooch with someone special -- or someone willing -- and get a second entree for free," says Qdoba. All kissing has to happen at the cash register, and no coupon is necessary. The promotion is happening nationwide. And this year, there's even a new twist to the promotion -- the Qdoba Kiss Cam. Snap a pic of the moment and share it via Instagram, Twitter or Facebook and you'll have a shot at winning one of three prizes, including free burritos for a year. The deadline to submit your photo is…

Valentine’s Day can be more than just a day about Hallmark cards and chocolates.
I started talking about Valentine’s Day with some friends recently and the looks I got could have wilted a rose. Turned up noses, snarky comments about husbands dropping the ball and a few shrugged shoulders was about all I got. I realize that we have all been bombarded with Hallmark and Ferrero Rocher chocolate commercials the past few weeks, but I am determined to turn this holiday from superficial to super fabulous. At least at my house. For starters I thought of my official answer for “Mom, what is Valentine’s Day anyway?” My answer, drum roll please...“It’s a day to celebrate Love (yes, Love with a capital L).” It doesn’t have to be a day filled with commercial influences, but a day when we go the extra mile to remind those we love …
