A Lexington Native's Cleverly Cartoonish Advice for College Grads
With her first book "You Can Do It, Bunny" Lexington native Christina Mercado hopes her entrepreneurial animals can help young job-seekers keep a positive outlook as they attempt to break into the professional world.
It’s not easy when you think you’ve done everything right and nothing else lives up to its end of the bargain. But there’s more than one way to deal with real world rejection and, according to Tina Mercado, a formerly professionally frustrated Lexington native, happiness may be only a bunny hop, skip and a jump away. Bummed by months of job-searching after her May graduation from Georgetown with an MBA in business administration, Mercado struggled to deal with rejection until she started looking at things through the cartoonish eyes of a bunny. I would say that the book is very interesting to say the least. The story-line is very real, circumstances are factual and the message is very inspiring. The illustrations are wonderful. And I am not just saying this because I am Tina's aunt but it is really, truly a good book. I am so proud of her. Way to go Bunny! more ›
