LWV First Friday Forum Takes on School Budgets
Want to know what drives the school budget? The League of Women Voters of Lexington attempt to answer that question in its First Friday forum Oct. 7 at Cary Memorial Library.
The following is a press release from the League of Women Voters of Lexington. Most taxpayers are well aware that spending for schools is the largest item in the Town of Lexington's budget. The League of Women Voters of Lexington's First Friday Forum on Oct. 7 will focus on some of the elements that drive the school budget. Panelists Thomas Plati, director of educational technology and assessment; Linda Chase, director of student services, and Patrick Goddard, director of public facilities, will talk about the importance of their departments and demands on the overall school budget.
