Add to this list Friends of Cary Memorial Library's Gently Used Book Sale. Hours are Saturday, November 5 from 10 am to 5pm and Sunday, November 6 from 1 to 5 pm. Tips for the Sandwich Generation

Upcoming program will explore balancing competing needs of caring for older relatives with careers and kids.

An upcoming program at Youvill Place will provide a few pointers for adults caring for family members from the generations on either side of their own. On Sunday, Nov. 6, the “Sandwich Generation Ministry” of the Lexington Catholic Community and Youville Assisted Living will present “Adults Caring for Aging Parents or Siblings: Now What?” The program’s target audience is adults who find themselves “caught between the demands of their own children and the increasing needs of older parents, spouses and/or siblings facing health, social and financial challenges,” according to a press release.
