Artisans Way, 18 Walden Street in Concord, will be hosting an exclusive event featuring original one-of-a-kind, hand-painted lamp shades from Janna Ugone &amp; Co. from Saturday, April 27 through Sunday, May 12. Painted by 25 carefully trained painters from approximately 1990-2005, these original oiled parchment lamp shade classics from their archives are the last of their kind. (In more recent years, the shade designs have been printed rather than individually hand painted.) Owner and designer, Janna Ugone, will be at Artisans Way on April 27 from 1-5 to discuss her design inspirations and her experience of more than three decades in the lighting and home furnishings business. All shades and lamps will be 10% off on April 27 only.
Along with her tight-knit team, Janna produces a modern heirloom collection of artful and distinctive handmade table, floor, ceiling and wall lighting, lamp shades, and home décor. Since 1987, this small team has fabricated their line in a restored New England mill building in Easthampton, MA. With extraordinary attention to detail, each piece draws you in with its jewelry-like fine metal work and artful imagery. Sculpting their own hardware, designing, printing and fabricating lamp shades, producing metal and pottery bases, Janna Ugone &amp; Co presents an exceptional collection that is authentically handmade in America. Artisans Way has represented their work for over a decade and is the sole retail location offering the archival shade collection.
