Mellinda Abbott, Neighbor

Mellinda Abbott has over twenty years experience providing financial, tax, and business consulting services to clients.  She has led business & strategic planning engagements and presented to officers and directors of various organizations on financial reporting, budgeting, regulatory reporting and taxes.  Mellinda has designed and managed the implementation of financial systems for many clients.

Prior to establishing Abbott & Company, Mellinda was with the Boston office of one of the top four international public accounting firms, where she gained valuable experience consulting on the accounting and tax issues for several different industries.  In addition, Mellinda has over ten years experience as a financial leader of two international Fortune 100 companies. 

Mellinda has a MBA and a BS in Accounting, both from Bentley University.  She is a licensed CPA in Massachusetts, and a current member of Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. 

In addition to her experience as a CPA and business consultant, Mellinda teaches college accounting at area Universities.  Her passion for teaching manifests in Abbott & Company’s underlying goal to educate and empower clients for a successful future.
