The unlined water main on Bedford Street from Worthen Road to the Minuteman Bikeway must be replaced to assure highest water quality and to assure the availability of water volume and pressure to fight fires. The road will be open to local traffic but it will narrow to one lane with traffic alternating directions in the area of the work. Every effort will be made to detour through traffic to other streets to relieve congestion. If possible seek alternate routes.

The work areas are expected to progress westward from Worthen Road to the Minuteman Bikeway, and work hours will be from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
